What is GDPR?

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a legal framework for the collection and processing of personal information.

At The One Question, we’ve worked hard to ensure that we are compliant with all obligations and to ensure that we remain transparent about the data we hold and how we use it.

We’ve also made it easy for you to comply with GDPR through a dedicated GDPR section in your ActiveFeedback instance.

What is the right of access?

Right of access gives your customers the right to obtain a copy of all the personal data that you hold on them, as well as any other supplementary information.

The One Question allows you to fulfil a right of access request by exporting data relating to an individual contact across all instances in which they appear in your account.

How do I export my customer’s data to respond to a right of access request?

It’s quick and easy to export the data relating to an individual contact. Just click ‘Account settings’ from the dropdown in the top right corner of your account.

Now you’re on your account settings.

On the left-hand side, click ‘GDPR’. This is the dedicated GDPR section, where you will find all actions relating to GDPR.

A search bar will appear. Here you can search for the contact by entering their email address.

Once the contact search has finished, a small preview of the export will appear on your screen. The export will include the contact’s:

  • Email address
  • Name
  • The amount of feedback they have responded with across all instances they appear in
  • The number of conversations you have had with the contact in all instances they appear in
  • And what instances they belong to

To export the customer’s data, just click ‘Export data’.

The file will start to download.

Once it’s done, click on the file on the download bar at the bottom of the screen.

Your file will open and you will be able to see all the exported data relating to that contact.

And that’s it! That is how you export data relating to an individual contact.
